Focus on the good!

There are many times in our lives where our faith is shaken, or were challenged to see things in a different light. When those two things are mixed, God adds a whole new depth too your life & to your challenge. But you have to make the best of it, or it will rob you of your joy!
When you feel like things in life are getting in the way of what makes you happy, you know God isn't in the equation anymore. Because if you had God there and you knew that, you wouldn't be thinking so negatively.
A passage/verse that helped me through a hard time is Psalm 143:8-12
"8 Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love,
for in you I trust.
Make me know the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul.
9 Deliver me from my enemies, O Lord!
I have fled to you for refuge.[a]
10 Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God!
Let your good Spirit lead me
on level ground!
11 For your name's sake, O Lord, preserve my life!
In your righteousness bring my soul out of trouble!
12 And in your steadfast love you will cut off my enemies,
and you will destroy all the adversaries of my soul,
for I am your servant."

I pray that when my life is in a spot I can't untangle from, & God is in control. When you know God can take control over your life & accept you as you are; things in your life will be made a blessing to you. Because if not focusing on the good things, what's worth smiling about?
Persevere in life & reach the goal in Jesus that you need to. You will always deserve his love, you just have to want it.

Some other verses:
Proverbs 17:22
"A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."
Philippians 4:6
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God."
Philippians 4:13
"I can do all things through him who strengthens me."

Now I know this week I was a little all over the place with that "lesson". Just take it in anyway that your heart can & God bless you!
Smile.

Giving your day to The Lord

Giving your day to The Lord

Each day I live, I always try my best to live for The Lord. When I open my eyes I immediately pray for my day to go as God has planned. I give my day to God. Asking for his will to be done & for him to bring the right people into my day, that can do the slightest difference, although it doesn't mean your day is going to be perfect, it just means that God is in control.
Wake up with your eyes open for his love and ready to show his love and live your life in his name. Shining your smile to people is doing to smallest of a blessing & trust me it can save a life. In living your day with him always in mind, you're always willing to do what it takes to make others feel his glory.
Be the light in others lives today.

Ephesians 1:15-16
For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.

Isaiah 12:4
In that day you will say: "Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted.

1 John 1:7 (NIV)
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

Time for God, above all else

Everyday we face new obstacles, from friends, family issues, boys, school work, part time jobs.. The list goes on. But if we let those things define us and over take our life and our time, our time for Jesus will never happen & your contact with God is so much more important than.. homework! As bad as that sounds, it's true. I have days when I'm doing homework, or trying to read a book & I just can't get Jesus off my mind. I stop. And I talk with him :) simple as that, because when you feel that and think those things, that's Jesus goin' "hey, I wanna talk to you!" Do it. Because you will feel so rewarded and so connected with Jesus your mind can be clear enough to do your work again, or even get back to it when your head is clear; maybe then your head will be clear to solve the equations ;)
I know for a fact, as a teen it is hard to put down my phone to open my bible, but when I take a step back and think about what will be eternally fulfilling, my bible is open within the blink of an eye!
It's not all about interrupting work time though, anytime is fine to spend with the worlds creator, and unlike contacts on Facebook~God is always available to chat!
Always remember to put Jesus first, and never idolize the things we do daily. Connecting with jesus is much more important than connecting your wi-fi!

Check out these verses, they're really relevant! :

This is me- Intro to Blog!

Coming into writing a blog is going to be interesting, it's full of challenges and ultimately it takes up time and effort & I'm terrible on sticking to things for long periods of time!
At least work related things, but this is my final attempt at changing the way people look at the world and at some teens in it!
This planet is populated with around 7 Billion people and were growing everyday. But the teens in this generation I find are a little.. Well lost, to say the least.
They insist on drinking, smoking, having sex, going to bars, trying new things, judging other people, and most of all they insist on fitting in. People these days just can't seem to be different. When they are, they're judged and when they aren't they're judged. Someone needs to make up their mind on what they want to world to be see as; being themselves, or conforming- which is one of My biggest pet peeves!
I am someone who believes in completely being yourself, but that doesn't mean being a Nicki Minaj, or the next Lady Gaga, it's about being true to who you are and not changing because the world insists you do!
In this blog I will go through many different factors of life, from being a teenager, to being an adult and experiencing things in life any teen goes through. The only difference from my blog to any other teens is I am basing it on one key element- Jesus.
You don't like that, leave now & I love you.
If you stay, enjoy- because I have some amazing things in store for you & I hope for you to grow and learn through this, as I hope I do too!
Lots of love, your new Blogger
- Victoria! :)
